At its origin, Penitentiary Unit - 5 was considered an unworthy planet. Nobles and bureaucrats from the nearby Tersus system found PU-5 to be inimical to civilization, and as such shipped their undesirables off with the aim of supplying the nearby systems. As PU-5 ballooned with occupants, it became more and more necessary for administrative officials to have a more direct presence. Over time, the planet was transformed into a habitable world and the hive city of Nidor grew. Now, the hive city expands ever outward, leaving deserts in the wake of overfarming, spreading tendrils ever deeper into the untouched forests and jungles.Â
Covered in tumultuous frozen wastes, Yarnsaxa was once an Imperial planet populated by speculators and miners. Valuable gaseous resources lay just below the frozen surface, which drew interests from around the galaxy. But as the miners began to drill, something awoke under the ice, some horror which left the planet desolate once again...
Much of Laskar is volcanic, which leaves the surface scarred and largely inhospitable. Despite the hostile nature of the planet itself, the hive city Luskar Prime stands tall along the planet's equator, harvesting energy from the many volcanic conduits along the surface. Other conduits have race along the planet's surface, driving various forces into the burning wastelands to attempt new settlements. While some start successfully enough, each time communication is soon lost, either due to volcanic storms or another more sinister force among the wastes.
