The followers of the Noxious Sevenfold Path are numerous, but none live the path nor spread its glorious word as fully as Sid Viscous. As glorious grandfather Nurgle whispers the seven divisions into his ear, Sid amplifies them throughout the galaxy. He leads his warband from planet to planet, where they search for new concerts to the Path. Where none can be found to choose the Path, the corpses of the unliberated help fertilize and grow the next crop of loyal followers. Sid’s goal is to grow his warband strong enough so that no planet and no system anywhere is able to resist conversion to the one true Path.
Perhaps a freshly promoted Captain should feel pride, but de Montfort is haunted by the burden he must now carry. In his rise through the Chapter, he's seen the cycle play out before. Newly arrived in the Laskar system, they are welcomed, "Noble knights of the Emperor, sent to protect us!". And if their new allies wonder why de Montfort and his brethren are never seen without their armour and helmets, they are wise enough to keep such thoughts to themselves.
Knights of the Hawk, their colours proclaim. Space Marines - warriors of the Imperium! But it will not be long before the whispers start: "Who are they? Where did they come from? Has anyone heard of this Chapter?" Such talk cannot be allowed to spread. And thus it is on the eve of every battle the most alert of spies might just hear de Montfort mutter, "For the Chapter. For the Primarch. And may the Emperor have mercy on our souls."
The Order of Saint Sabbat the Martyr is devoted to guarding and parading the holy remains of Saint Sabbat Beati and her reincarnations. The order crusades out from the Segmentum Pacificus, carrying Sabbat’s and her disciples’ caskets across the Imperium and into systems tainted by the arch enemy. They proselytize all they find into worship of their patron saint, and condemn anyone who refuses to worship Saint Sabbat (Imperial or otherwise) as Hereticus.
Canoness Ruskinia and her battle sisters have brought relics and sarcophagi from their homeworld of Hagia directly to the front lines of the PU-5 system – honor guards of battle sisters form up to escort their convent’s sarcophagi across the war zone, and sacresants form shield walls to protect their relics from the arch enemy’s attacks. Sisters of the convent have been reported performing seemingly miraculous acts on the battlefield as they look for holy martyrdom in front of their patron saint’s remains.
Like all sisters of her convent, Canoness Ruskinia seeks nothing more than martyrdom fighting for her God-Emperor, just as her patron saint had when she fell to the Nine Holy Wounds in the Sabbat Worlds thousands of years before.
Has-9 is an unforgiving planet, a freezing waterworld with little living on the surface. Of course none of this would be able to stop the Adeptus Mechanicus from putting a floating forge-city on it. The forge-city of Nerites was then left to its devices as a hydroponics and consumer goods factory. Later however, one of the turbines keeping it afloat suffered an unusual malfunction, leading to a chain reaction sinking the entire city into one of the deepest crags on the planet. The Mechanicus of Has-9 survived despite this, refitting the manufactorums of Nerites to become self-sufficient, and deriving power from mysterious black obelisks found at the bottom of the trench. Now led by the unscrupulous Xenarite subfaction who helped adapt the city to its new power source, the Mechanicus of Has-9 have sent a small force led by Lieutenant August Vos and Quartermaster Syrain Har
August Vos is a new force among the Xenarites, but a promising one nonetheless. Having proven themself against both skirmishes against the Necrons and Tau, as well as organizing salvage teams to repurpose and dissect this xeno tech. Their ability to analyze a situation and take the path of greatest profit, as well as their cold and disconnected approach to any situation are as invaluable as they are unsettling.
Led by Magos Gammek-Telov, the Armored Procession travels throughout the galaxy on an endless quest for knowledge. They dispense aid to other forgeworlds and their forces, but it is not a simple act of charity. Through the eyes of Gammek, battle performance, technological discoveries, and faithfulness to the Omnissiah are reported back to Holy Mars.
By fighting alongside distant forgeworlds, Mars can maintain its influence and keep track of possible hereteks. The Magos knows the power he wields, using it to acquire new vehicles, weapons, and troops for his cohort. It is the will of the Machine God that this procession never ends.
Before the War on PU-5, Thaddeus Shaw was a Commissar of middling distinction. The man was competent, and in his line of work that translated to “terror-inducing and unmerciful”, but hadn’t risen any further than a bog-standard posting with the 48th. That would change after the regiments were halfway destroyed by a Chaotic raid and Shaw was the only officer left without any new holes in their brainpan. As a somewhat-neutral figure, being an outsider to both regiments, Shaw was able to weld together the two units, hastily reestablish a command structure, and keep the new unit rolling. With a hasty battlefield promotion to Lord Commissar, as there was no time for a full review by the Commissariat usually coming before that rank, Shaw’s hasty diplomacy has placed his unit in an uneasy alliance with the rest of Red Team as the PU-5 system devolves into a war of all against all.
The Silaw 48th and 17th Mechanized Regiments were deployed to the PU-5 system several months ago in order to provide routine security to the hive world following the disturbances on Yarnsaxa. That was before the war for PU-5 began. The situation as it stands now is considerably more confused. Following the decapitation and chewing up of both regiments in a skirmish with Chaotic forces, the leftover elements of the regiments were combined into something halfway between a cohesive unit and a desperate warband by Commissar Thaddeus Shaw.
From days of long ago, through uncharted regions of the universe, the Aeldari thrived. Their omnipotence was too much for Saimhann’s Saer-Fael, who took a small force far away from Aeldari space. Then, the calamity of The Fall scattered the Aeldari through the universe. As growing alien factions battled the Aeldari and the Saimhann colors grew, Saer-Fael was needed once more. This is the story of Saer-Fael and his speedy super saimhann skimmer Squads to help support and bring back the Aeldari under the Saimhann colors…
